Sneak Peek: “From Russia, with Love” by Neha Agarwal: To be showcased at Lakme Fashion Week ‘S/R’ 2015

Titled, “From Russia, with Love”, the Spring Resort 2015 collection by Neha Agarwal is inspired by the form-fitting fashion of early 1900s Russia, that tells you a tale of two cultures, where Russian inspired silhouettes and motifs are fused with Indian fabrics and techniques. Usage of intricate hand-embroidered appliqués on georgette, ahimsa, dupion, pure mal, tussar and pattu silk on Russian inspired artwork are some of the key elements of this vibrant collection.

Vintage yet modern, global yet ethnic, the designer will offer array of pieces, dresses and bamboo denim jackets with cape collars, adorned with cross-stitch detailing and floral embroidery; circular dresses with hand block printed motifs and denim crop tops with printed Russian dolls and flared jumpsuits in pure silk with a denim bodice and embroidered scalloped sleeves.

A NIFT Hyderabad graduate, Neha supplies her exclusive clothing line to celebrated stores like Kimaya, Fuel and SASYA/SIMAAYA. "It is an always a pleasure being a part of the Lakme Fashion Week. I've worked ardently to create my designs - I eagerly wait for the show to begin." says the young designer.
